Communication is key to the credit union merger process. In addition to keeping stakeholders informed, clear and timely communication assists in overcoming the fears and concerns that are naturally raised by change, avoiding misunderstanding and unnecessary delay. It is imperative that you develop a communication plan in conjunction with your merger plan.
Communication planning involves identifying which people need what information, when the information is needed, and how the information is communicated.
